Overview

Putting together and knowing how to improve your CV can be daunting, especially if you haven’t worked in the Film & TV industry before. What should it look like? What should it contain? Should I include all of my roles? Does it sell what I can do? This workshop is designed to guide you through the process of creating an impactful CV.

It is a fully interactive workshop with group discussions as well as peer analysis of your CV, so you can make improvements to your CV straight away. It will also provide you with the knowledge and guidance to create an impactful CV and you will have the chance to ask questions throughout.

Who is the clinic for?

The clinic is suitable for those wanting to work in any role in TV & Film no matter their current level/experience so far. You could be a new entrant or an established freelancer, or you may be looking to make the move across from theatre, arts & live events and don’t know where to start.

Trainer

Hannah Gosney is an experienced Head of Production/Senior Production Manager. She has been in the industry for over 12 years working across many different genres from commercial/corporate, sports, natural history, documentaries, drama and more. As part of her role she is responsible for hiring teams so has seen many different CVs, cover letters and conducted interviews and knows what works well and what doesn't. After completing a 'Level 3 - Train the Trainer' course with Cult Cymru she now focuses her time on running training courses for new entrants and established freelancers in the Film & TV industry. She is also a qualified ILM Coach & Mentor.

*The training is only available to those living in Wales and is supported by the Welsh Government’s Wales Union Learning Fund (WULF). It is hosted by Bectu working in partnership with Equity, the Musicians’ Union, the Writer’s Guild of Great Britain and the Wales TUC. If you are a union member then the courses are highly subsidised and are also discounted for non-members.
